To help support our kids and our club we are holding not 1 but 2 fundraisers this summer.  Our 10th Annual Playhouse and Pet Palace Auction will be held at Southgate Mall in June.  Houses will be available to bid on from June 1-27.  On June 27th we will have our Auction Finale with live entertainment, food, beverages, beer and wine provided by Red Robin and lots of silent auction items in addition to the houses.  Keep checking back for pictures and details!

Also we are hosting “A Tribute to the Beatles” concert on July 23rd at Caras Park.  We hosted this group last year and had so much fun we wanted to bring them back!  We have a group that is helping out club out by making phone calls to local businesses and homes seeking support for our club. The donations go to a great cause and the concert is a really good time.  Again, keep checking back as we will have more details as the concert gets closer.

Summer is nearly here, only 8 more weeks of school!

The Boys & Girls Club will again be holding summer camp for kids who have completed kindergarten through 8th grade. The Missoula location will be at City Life Community Center at 1515 Fairview Avenue, near the Fairgrounds. At this site we will break the kids out in age level groups, with some flexibility across the groups. Kids going into 1st and 2nd will be together, 3rd and 4th and 5th grade and up. We will also be holding camp in Lolo at Lolo Elementary.

Our summer camps focuses on fun physical activity and getting outside as much as possible. We swim at Splash Montana each week, go on hikes and walks, play at parks and will have some field trips this summer. Additionally we will have Healthy Habits, a program with weekly lessons on living a healthy lifestyle. Lessons range from portion size to good relationships.

Our summer camps are not broken into weekly theme. Our camps are eclectic and fun for any child. We have many different activities all summer long, but if our kids just fall in love with an event or activity, we want to be able to explore and expand, not move on just because the calendar changes.

We work hard to keep our costs low and our requirements flexible.  Our camp rates are on a sliding scale from $90-110 per week (based on household income) or $25 per day.  We do have limited scholarships available for those in the most need.  There is no minimum daily or weekly requirement, simply fill out the schedule sheet in the parent packet.  However, you will be responsible to pay for the times you schedule.

During the summer we are able to work with Child Care Resources, if you are eligible for funding through CCR please contact them right away as their funding runs out quickly in the summer.
