Missoula Summer Camp starting June 10th!

Summer is rapidly approaching and we are taking registration right now for Boys & Girls Club Summer Camps!

The “Littles,” kids going into the 1st and 2nd grades will be with Bram, from last summer and Mid-Missoula After School Program, Sophie from Mid-Missoula and Caitlin from Bonner.

Littles and Middsies will be spending a lot of time outside playing and having fun!  We will be making trips to the library, to Out-to Lunch, the Carousel and Dragons Hollow as well as some local field trips for day hikes and fun events like Kid’s Day at Caras Park.

The “Middsies,” kids going into the 3rd and 4th grades will be with Gene from Lolo and last summer, Rachael from Council Groves and a new person.

“Juno,” kids in 5th grade and older will be with Erin from the last 5 summers and Lolo, Conor from Mid-Missoula and Janice from Target Range

Juno has some special events this summer:

-Parks In Focus trip to Glacier for 12 of our members who have not gotten to go on a previous trip.
-All the Juno kids will get to participate in weekly hikes and other awesome outdoor activities designed to prepare for the trip.
-The Dunrovin Ranch in Lolo each week for an original business and recycling program that Erin is creating and managing for us.
–We also plan to cap the summer again with a day trip to Butte for the Evel Knievel Festival!

Everyone’s together for Splash Montana every Tuesday & Thursday & group sports on Wednesday afternoons, everyone will have a great time this summer!

-We meet each day from 7:30-5:30 M-F at our Mid- Missoula location inside the City Life Community Center.

-Registration forms are available at 1515 Fairview Ave. Ste 243 or under the summer camp tab on this website.

-Cost is a straight $25 per day or $90-110 per week on a sliding scale, with an activity fee of $100 on or before 5/24, $120 on or after 5/25.

After School Program

After school program costs $5.00 per day with scholarships available and runs from right after school releases until 6:00 Monday through Friday.  After school program focuses on making sure your child’s homework is done everyday. completed homework helps students be more confident in their abilities and prepares them for the next days lessons and challenges. It also gives back some family time each evening because homework was done at club. We provide an afternoon snack and fun activities after homework is finished.

In Bonner and Lolo we serve all district students meeting them at the schools and proceeding to our program sites located very close to each school.

In Missoula city we have locations at Council Groves Apartment Complex, Mid-Missoula site located at 1515 Fairview Avenue in the City Life Community Center and at Target Range School. Students from Hawthorne Elementary ride the #145 afternoon bus and are dropped us at the Apartment Complex.

For our Mid-Missoula location we utilize 2 15-passenger vans to pick kids up from schools at 3:00 and 3:30 and bring them back to our site for the program. This site serves the following schools:  Paxson, Cold Springs, Chief Charlo, Lewis and Clark, Russell and Franklin depending on need. We are also able to pick middle school students depending on need.

Please Support the Boys & Girls Club

It’s a busy time around the Boys & Girls Club right now!  After school programs are nearly over and we are gearing up for summer camp.  Can you believe that after school program this year is the biggest in our clubs history?  It has been a great school year!

To help support our kids and our club we are holding not 1 but 2 fundraisers this summer.  Our 10th Annual Playhouse and Pet Palace Auction will be held at Southgate Mall in June.  Houses will be available to bid on from June 1-27.  On June 27th we will have our Auction Finale with live entertainment, food, beverages, beer and wine provided by Red Robin and lots of silent auction items in addition to the houses.  Keep checking back for pictures and details!

Also we are hosting “A Tribute to the Beatles” concert on July 23rd at Caras Park.  We hosted this group last year and had so much fun we wanted to bring them back!  We have a group that is helping out club out by making phone calls to local businesses and homes seeking support for our club. The donations go to a great cause and the concert is a really good time.  Again, keep checking back as we will have more details as the concert gets closer.
