HELP OUR CLUBS SERVE FUTURE GENERATIONS

We all dream of making the world a better place after we are gone.

The BGCM Endowment allows you to do just that.

Endowment gifts ensure our youth today will continue to be served tomorrow by strengthening the organization in perpetuity. Our vision is to reduce our dependency on cyclical government funding by inviting individuals and corporate investment in our organization to:

  • Ensure that every child who needs a Club to go to and will always have access to one.
  • Reduce the gap between the number of youth in need in our community and our current capacity.
  • Provide for the cost of ensuring adequate staffing and operations year after year.
  • Give each child an equal opportunity to reach their full potential, as it is our responsibility to help them achieve this.

The purpose of our endowment is to provide a stable funding source to the Club. The Club's endowment funds are permanent charitable funds from which the Club is able to draw income every year. The Club's endowment funds provide operational flexibility and stability, allowing the Club to focus on emerging needs. The Club's endowment fund is professionally managed under the direction of the Board of Directors and Governance Committee.

You can help ensure the longevity of our organization and sustain our important work with our community's youth by investing any amount to the Club's endowment.

Please contact us Kezia Halverson, Interim CEO, at 406-542-3116 or Kezia@bgcmissoulacounty.org to learn more about endowment opportunities designed to meet your personal goals.

Ways to Give to the Endowment

  • Gifts of Stocks and Bonds

Donating appreciated securities, including stocks or bonds, is an easy and tax-effective way for you to make a gift to our organization.

  • Gifts of Real Estate

Donating appreciated real estate, such as a home, vacation property, undeveloped land, farmland, ranch or commercial property can make a great gift to our organization.

  • Gifts of Retirement Assets

Donating part or all of your unused retirement assets such as a gift from your IRA, 401(k), 403(b), pension or other tax-deferred plan is an excellent way to make a gift to our organization.

  • Gifts of Cash

A gift of cash through a will or bequest is a simple and effective way for you to make a gift.

  • Gifts of Insurance

A gift of your life insurance policy is an excellent way to make a gift to charity. If you have a life insurance policy that has outlasted its original purpose, consider making a gift of your insurance policy. For example, you may have purchased a policy to provide for minor children and they are now financially independent adults.

Named Endowments

Gifts of $100,000 or more to our Boys & Girls Club of Missoula County Endowment Fund provide donors with the opportunity to name their portion of the endowment fund. Currently, the Boys & Girls Club of Missoula County has one named endowment fund.

Gary and Dee Young Endowment Fund

Dee Young has been a long-time supporter of the Boys & Girls Club of Missoula County. At age 9, she moved with her family to Milltown, Montana, located next door to Bonner. After attending grade school in Bonner and graduating from Sacred Heart Academy, she received her teaching certificate from the College of Great Falls and her Bachelor's Degree from Eastern Montana College in Billings. Her first position teaching was at St. Thomas Orphanage in Great Falls. Her teaching career spanned from Whitefish to Las Vegas, and even oversees in Germany and Norway when her husband, Gary's, military career took them to Europe. They later returned to Missoula to retire. Dee has always enjoyed teaching and mentoring young people and was thrilled to see Boys & Girls Club of Missoula County open a Clubhouse in her hometown of Bonner.
