BGCM's COVID Scholarship Fund Now Open!

Sep 28, 2020

If your child has attended at least one day of Full Day Programming since the start of the 2020 school year, then you qualify for an immediate $300 credit.

With students in school two days per week this year, childcare for school-aged youth has become an increasingly urgent need for Missoula County families. In an effort to support families with the difficult balance of school-aged childcare, remote learning, and their own work obligations, Boys & Girls Club of Missoula County has been providing Full-Day Club since the school year began on August 26th. While enrollment in this new BGCM program has demonstrated the demand for this additional service, cost has continued to be an unexpected challenge for many Missoula families.

In response, Boys & Girls Club of Missoula County is proud to announce that it has launched a new, second Scholarship program that is specific to their Full-Day Club program. With this COVID-19 Scholarship Fund, any child who attended a minimum of one Full-Day of Club this school year is eligible to receive a one-time $300 scholarship. This $300 scholarship will be applied to the families account to make up for these additional costs.

This additional COVID-19 Scholarship Fund of $300 per family will cover up to 100% of full-day Club program costs for families. This COVID-19 Scholarship Fund is made possible by the Department of Health and Human Services (DPHHS)’s School Aged Childcare grant funding released last month.*
