Confirmed Positive COVID Case at Bonner Club

Nov 03, 2020

Dear Club Family,

It’s important that you know the safety and protection of your children is the number one priority of Boys & Girls Clubs of Missoula County. We are doing everything possible to keep our Club members, staff and volunteers protected from the COVID-19 virus.

Today, November 3, 2020, we learned that a Club Member at our Bonner Clubhouse tested positive for COVID-19. This child is a member of our Full Day group B program at Mid-Missoula. However, based on CDC guidelines on close contacts, no Full Day club members have been deemed close contacts. That being said, we are committed to transparency and providing you with all of the most up-to-date information regarding all of our Club site locations so you can continue to make informed decisions regarding your family’s health and safety.

We are collaborating with the appropriate public health officials and adhering to recommendations to privately inform anyone determined to have been in close contact with this Club Member. We are also in ongoing communication with this individual, who is following strict medical guidelines and will remain in isolation as recommended by their doctor and the Health Department.

We want to make sure that all of our families are aware that there is a positive case at a Club and that we are addressing it. At this time there is no reason to believe your child’s Clubhouse has been affected by this positive case. Additional information will be sent on the status of the other Clubhouse as soon as it is available.

We continue to work with local public health officials and are taking all precautionary measures regarding deep cleaning and sanitizing of Club facilities to ensure the safety of members, staff and volunteers. We will continue to keep you updated during this very challenging time. As always, we remain committed to our Club kids, their families and our community.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,

John Waters
